Agnes O. Frantz

Agnes O. (Rohm) Frantz, age 100, of Newton Falls passed away peacefully on Friday, July 13, 2012 at Laurie Ann Nursing Home in Newton Falls. She was born on May 5, 1912 in Littleton, WV the daughter of the late Arthur Sayre and Della (Gorby) Ward. She had lived in Newton Falls for the past 72 years. She married her first husband Leslie Rohm Sr. in 1930 and he passed away after 28 years of marriage in 1958. She then married her second husband Robert A. Frantz Sr. on Feb. 1, 1969, and he passed away on Nov. 20, 1999. Agnes worked at Republic Steel in Warren for 13 years retiring in 1972. She was a member of the Newton Falls United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, the Louise Circle Senior Citizens of Newton Falls, Lordstown, & Southington, the Good Timers Club and the Voyagers Club. Agnes enjoyed cooking, gardening and dancing.

Memories of Agnes will be carried on by her loving family; her step son Robert & Shirley Frantz Jr. of Dunwoodie,GA , her sisters Ethel & Harry Keenan of Windridge, PA; Irene Loor of Moundsville,WV; her brother Francis Ward of South Bend, IN; 6 grandchildren, 14 Great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.

Agnes is preceded in death by her first husband Leslie Rohm Sr., her second husband Robert A. Frantz, her son Leslie D. Rohm Jr., her 3 sisters Bertha King, Wanda Burgess, Mary Rohm, and 1 daughter-in-law Naomi Rohm.

Calling hours will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Saturday, July 21, 2012 from 10:00- 11:00AM. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00AM at the funeral home with Pastor Gordon Ferguson officiating. Agnes will be laid to rest beside her first husband Leslie in Newton Falls Cemetery. The family has requested that all donations be made to the Newton Falls United Methodist Church c/o United Methodist Women 336 Ridge Rd. Newton Falls, OH 44444.
