Anthony Robert Carmella

Anthony Robert Carmella age 11 of Newton Township passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at his residence.  He was born on November 14, 2012 in Warren. The son of Damian P. and Sheila D. (Whitacre) Carmella.

In loving memory of our beloved and precious son, Anthony, who filled our lives with joy, laughter, and endless energy.

Anthony was a fun-loving and high-spirited 11 -year- old boy who touched the hearts of all who knew him.  From his infectious smile to his contagious laughter, he brought light and happiness into every room he entered. 

Despite facing a challenging and courageous battle with cancer for three years, Anthony never lost his zest for life or his positive spirit.  His strength and determination inspired all those around him, and his unwavering optimism was a beacon of hope during the darkest days. 

Anthony is survived by parents, Damian and Sheila, a brother Vincent Carmella, his grandparents, Diane (Ed) Harrison of Newton Falls, Kim (Phil) Webb of Howland Twp., George (Gretchen) Whitacre of Warren; several Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 7:00PM at the James Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends and guests 3 hours prior to service time from 4:00 to 7:00PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. 

The family has requested that material contributions be made in Anthony's name to Akron Children's Hospital Oncology Department, 214 West Bowery Street, Akron, Ohio 44308
