Agnes D. Mancos, 87, passed away December 27, 2011. She was born February 7, 1924, in Youngstown, Ohio, daughter of Stephen and Mary Semko who immigrated from Czechoslovakia. Her husband of 55 years, Joseph, died five years ago. She and her husband were owners of Mancos Ideal Supermarket in Newton Falls until 1988 when they retired and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. At the time of her death, she lived with her daughter Bonita Matas. Agnes was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters Helen Setz, Stephen Semko, Michael Semko, Cyril Semko, and Mary Zelonish. She is survived by her sister Margaret Fuese and husband Joe, of Waldorph, MD; her son Joseph and wife Christine and their son Julian of Denver, NC; and daughter Bonita, and her children Mindy Wells, and husband David, and Mitchell Matas, all of Las Vegas. She has three great grandchildren, Owen, Hailey, and Piper Wells. A memorial Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Carl Kish on Monday, February 20,2012 at St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Newton Falls. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10:00AM, with the Mass to follow at 11:00AM.
