Alta Sarah Hice, 91 of Newton Falls entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital. Alta was born on September 16, 1922 in Hood River, OR the daughter of William & Safronia (Paige) Gibbons. lived in the Lake Milton, Newton Falls area for over 70 years.

Alta was a lifetime member of the American Legion #737, Moose Lodge and Elks Club in Punta Gorda, FL where she held every office. Alta enjoyed bingo, camping, boating, crocheting, walking and her most enjoyment came from her animals. She was a member of the Silver Sneakers Eastwood Mall Walkers.

Loving memories of Alta will be carried on by her daughters, Barbara Addison-Jenkins of Newton Falls, Gayle (Charles) Addison-Spencer of Lake Milton, Virginia "Ginger" (Robert) Addison-Canankamp of Diamond, Juanita (Richard) Addison-Carson of Sumter, SC, Paula (John) Estlack-Lobaugh of Youngstown, her sons, William (Deborah) Addison of Warren, Paul Estlack Jr. of Newton Falls, her sister, Beverly Ann (Edward) Taylor of Corvallis, OR, 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Alta was preceeded in death by her parents, her husbands, Alfred Addison, Paul Estlack Sr. and Robert D. Hice.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 7:00 pm. Alta will be laid to rest in Vaughn Cemetery in Lake Milton.
