Obituary

Amy Sue (Myers) Martin was greeted by Jesus Wednesday Dec. 31, 2025 following a brief illness. She was born on May 8, 1954 in New Castle, PA the daughter of the late Kenneth Henry Myers and Joella Mae (Parker) Myers. She is survived by her brothers: Gary Myers of Findlay OH and Kelly Myers of Green Springs, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Ken Myers.

Amy will be deeply missed by her husband, Gary Elmer Martin, whom she married August 15, 1987. During their golden retirement years they have enjoyed traveling, exploring, and photography together. They have lived in Braceville, Puerto Rico, and Newton Falls where they raised their three children: Michael Stassinis, Newton Falls; Kenneth (LaNina) Stassinis, Braceville; and Joel Martin (fiancé Sarah Bennett), Warren.

Amy's greatest joy was spending time with her Family and her grandchildren: Michael (Jenna) Stassinis, Brittany Stassinis, Mikiya Stassinis, Austin Stassinis, Maddie Stassinis, and Norah Cowles. She spent countless hours cheering and supporting her grandchildren in all their endeavors. For over 2 decades you could find her in a soccer or football stadium, at the ball fields, in the gym, at church, at school events, taking pictures for dances, at Army graduations-anywhere her grandchildren had an event she was always there beaming with pride. In the rare instance she was not spending time with her family she enjoyed camping, fishing, sewing, crafting, photography, and cheering on the Browns and Buckeyes.

Amy will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched. She was a woman deeply rooted in her faith who never hesitated to lend a hand, say a prayer, speak words of encouragement, share her laughter, greet you with a smile, or wrap you in a huge hug. Her relationship with Jesus Christ was enhanced through attendance at NorthMar Church (Warren) and Harvest Point Church (Lordstown).

Amy graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School (Tiffin, OH) in 1972 and attended Tiffin University. Her professional years included administrative and medical industry positions, most recently as an Insurance Specialist for Douglas Family Eyecare (Warren, OH) from where she retired in 2021.

All are welcome to a celebration of life service to be held at Harvest Point Church (2121 Salt Springs Rd Warren, OH 44481), January 24, at 1:00pm. A meal will be provided immediately following in the fellowship hall.

Amy has been reunited with her two beloved dogs Bandit and Mia and will be missed by her dog Piper. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Healthy Hearts and Paws Project, (909 Martin Luther King Blvd SW Warren OH) so that other lives may be blessed by a dog as her life was. Donations can also be made to Harvest Point Church (2121 Salt Springs Rd Warren, OH 44481)
