Andrew W. Gimmel Sr. of Newton Falls passed into eternal life on May 19, 2011 at his residence of natural causes. On June 11, 1936 in Valley Head, WV Amuel & Hattie (McCloud) Gimmel gave birth to their son, Andrew. He was raised by his step parrents Kenna and Eva Dodrill. Andrew worked as a Load Line Supervisor for the Ravenna Arsenal for 7 years. He then went to work as a water plant operator for the West Farmington Water Plant for 11 years before he retired. Andrew was a member of the US Air Force, serving during the Korean War. Memories of Andrew will be carried on by his loving family; his daughter Karen Gimmel; his son Andrew Gimmel, Jr. both of West Virginia; three brothers Kenneth & Sandra Dodrill of Leavittsburg, Cameron Dodrill of Warren, Woody & Yvonne Dodrill of Warren; two sisters Betty & Denny Guss of Mechanicsville, MD, Dorothy & David Lash of Ravenna; one granddaughter Brittany Piles, one grandson Michael Piles; and one very special friend Lucille Hogan of Diamond Ohio. Friends may also call the Brady Gate Church in Monterville, WV on Monday, May 23, 2011 from 1 to 2 PM where funeral services will be imediately following at 2 PM.
