Anne Marie (Domyanich) Nye, of Braceville passed away at Windsor House on February 3, 2012 , 6:46PM at the age of 98. She was born on March 10, 1913 in Warren, OH the daughter of the late Peter & Anna (Zebich) Domyanich. Ann grew up and lived in Braceville all her life. She married Albert M. Nye Sr. on December 5, 1935 and he passed away after 63 years of marriage on November 9, 1998. She was employed as a cook at Braceville Schools for 17 years before retiring in 1959. Anne was a member of the Braceville United Methodist Church, Ladies Grange, United Methodist Women, Newton Falls & Warren Ladies Bowling League where she carried a 152 average, Braceville Garden Club, Braceville Traveling Card Club, Ladies Lions Auxiliary Club. Anne taught Sunday school at the Braceville United Methodist Church for a number of years, and served as treasurer for over 30 years. She was an avid sports fan, her favorite baseball team was the Cleveland Indians and her favorite basketball player was Michael Jordan. She also enjoyed watching golf, especially Nancy Lopez. Anne enjoyed attending all her children's and grandchildren's sporting events. She enjoyed traveling so much she visited every state except Alaska. She also went to England. She visited every major league baseball park in every major city. She was an avid gardener and bird watcher; her favorite flower was the gladiola. She is survived by her Two Daughters, Mitzi Hanzes of Newton Falls, Ohio Diane A. & Andrew K. Emmerth of Cortland, Ohio One Son, Albert Nye, Jr. of Newton Falls, Ohio. Ten grandchildren, Thirteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert Sr., one son Michael Nye, three sisters Marie Kinford & Lubiza Domyanich, Violet Wolf and four brothers Peter, Charles, Rudolph, & John Domyanich. The family asks that all contributions be made in the form of donations to Braceville United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Tuesday February 7, 2012 at 7 PM where friends may call from 4-7PM prior to the service. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Albert Sr. at Braceville Cemetery.
