Arvadia R. Kazimer, age 86 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at 12:54 pm at her home. Arvadia was born on April 28, 1926 in Warren, the daughter of the late Clifford and Ann (Wojnarski) Elliott. She has lived in Newton Falls since 1943, formerly of Champion. Arvadia married William (Bill) Kazimer on Sept. 11, 1948 and he passed away after 39 years of marriage on Oct. 5, 1987. She has been a self-employed beautician since 1945. Arvadia was a long time member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Newton Falls. She had over 45 years of leadership with the Campfire Girls and had served on the Cancer Board of Warren and MS Board in Youngstown. Arvadia loved the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns. She was an avid sports fan. Arvadia is survived by her two sons: James Kazimer of Newton Falls, Mark & Judy Kazimer of Newton Falls, one daughter, Jane & Bruce Simpson of Mukilteo, WA, and four grandchildren, Star & Casey Miller of Marysville, WA, Mars Simpson of Mukilteo, WA, Elliott Kazimer and Keri Kazimer both of Newton Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Kazimer, daughter, Janet Kazimer, brother, Philip Robert Elliott, and her daughter-in-law, Deborah Kazimer. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at James Funeral Home in Newton Falls. A funeral mass of Christian burial will be Thursday at 10:30 AM at St. Mary and Joseph's Church in Newton Falls. Family prayer blessing will be 10:00 AM at James Funeral Home. Arvadia will be laid to rest next to her husband William at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Newton Falls.
