Audrey Ellen McCormick, 77 of Fowler Twp. entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Audrey was born on April 27, 1937 in Youngstown, the daughter of Arthur Dale & Louise (Schweich) Slaven. She has lived in Fowler Twp. since 1968 fomerly of the Youngstown, Niles area. Audrey married Paul Wesley McCormick Sr. on December 31, 1955. They were blessed with 39 years of marriage before his passing on October 5, 1995. Audrey was a 1955 graduate of Chaney High School. Audrey graduated with her nursing degree from Choffin Technical and Vocational School. Audrey was a LPN for 40 years with the former Warren General Hospital which became St. Joseph Hospital retiring in 1996. Audrey was an avid Cleveland Browns football fan, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and playing bingo. Loving memories of Audrey will be carried on by her daughter, Ellyn Biles of Fowler Twp., sons, Paul W. (Marge) McCormick Jr. of Winston Salem, NC, David A. McCormick of Fowler, 5 grandchildren, Paul W. (Caroline) McCormick III of Greensboro, NC, John (Valerie) McCormick of Winston Salem, NC, Marie (Jonathan) Choleva of Fowler, Alyssa Biles of Fowler, John Biles of Fowler and 5 great grandchildren, Jasmine, Sharon, Mikayla, Joshua and Jessie. Audrey was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul, her son, Aurthur McCormick and one brother, Edward Slaven. Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 11, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at the Fowler Community Church. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor Joel Dickson will officiate. Audrey will be laid to rest next to her husband, Paul at Dugan Cemetery in Fowler.
