Barbara A. Funk, age 84, formerly of Leavittsburg, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday May 26, 2023.  She was born on Nov. 11, 1938, in Pineville, KY, the daughter of the late Willie Baker and Sadie Ellen (Wilson) Baker. Barbara married the love of her life, Henry Funk, on June 6, 1959, and they enjoyed 61 years of marriage together until his death on Feb. 4, 2021. They lived in Leavittsburg until 2021. Barbara worked as a School Teacher at Warren Christian School. Barbara was a member of Life Church (formerly the Leavittsburg Church of God) where her husband was the Pastor for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Henry.

Barbara is survived by 2 daughters, Rebecca Faith of Novelty, OH, Leah Colegrove of Uniontown, OH; 2 sons, David Brian & Anna Funk of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Matthew Henry & Terri Funk of Garrettsville, OH; 1 brother, A. Larry & Jean Baker of Champion, OH; 7 grandchildren, Geoffrey, Patrick, Marcus, Allison (Tim), Eddie, Sarah, Aaron (Samantha); 2 great granddaughters, Braelynn and Olympia; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at Life Church, 610 South Leavitt Rd., Leavittsburg, OH 44430 on Tuesday May 30, 2023 at 12:00 pm with Pastor Rodney Mullins officiating. Calling hours will be from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. Barbara will be laid to rest beside her husband, Henry at Pine Knoll Cemetery in Warren Twp, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations to Life Church in Leavittsburg  or the Geauga County Department on Aging Adult Day Service can be made in Barbara's name.
