Berthel "JR" Junior Cutright, age 78 of Newton Falls passed peacefully into eternal life on Saturday July 16, 2016 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. He was born on May 23, 1938, in Long Run, WV, the son of the late Berthel Cutright & Julya (Thomason) Cutright. He married the love of his life Barbara Elaine Pingley on November 2, 1957 and they enjoyed 39 years of marriage together before she passed away on December 1, 1996. Junior lived in Newton Falls since 1964 formerly of Harding, WV. He worked as a coal miner, mill laborer and then as a machinist for Everett Industries in Warren for 25 years before retiring. He was a social member of the VFW # 3332 and Amvets both in Newton Falls. Junior enjoyed hunting, fishing, mowing his lawn, watching basketball & football and just being outdoors. He is survived by: his son, Timothy & Alicia Cutright of Moatsville, WV; his two sisters, Regina Chewning of Mabie, WV, Susie Whitehead of Atlanta, GA; his 3 brothers, Leroy Chewning of Elkins, WV, Nelson "Spider" Chewning of Martinsville, WV, Mike & Janet Cutright of Elkins, WV; and 5 grandchildren, Kyle Powell, Hannah Cutright, Kaitlyn Powell, Kacey Cutright, & Dorsey Cutright. Junior was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara, his daughter & son-in-law, Teresa & George Powell, and 8 brothers and sisters. Per Junior's request, cremation has taken place. Calling hours will be held at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Friday, July 22, 2016 from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. A memorial service will immediately follow at 6:30 pm. He will be laid to rest beside his wife Barbara at Elkins Memorial Gardens in Elkins, WV. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that all donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
