Obituary

Betty J. Glendenning, age 74, formerly of Southington and of Community Skilled Nursing Home passed away into eternal life on Monday September 1, 2014 at with her loving family by her side and she will be deeply missed. She was born on January 15, 1940 in Phillippi, WV the daughter of Eugene B. Bennett and Olga (Barnett) Bennett. Her first husband James Wilson died on July 7, 1970. Then she married Clarence R. Glendenning on October 7, 1972 and he survives. She has lived in Southington since 1972 formerly of Norton, WV. Betty was employed as a decorator at Sajar Plastics for 25 years before retiring in 1997. She attended Southington Christian Church, enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians, playing bingo, camping and being around her cats. She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters Edith Bennett, Beatrice Edwards, Myrtle DeBellis, Catherine Perry, Lorraine Rands and three Brothers Earnest Bennett & Leonard Bennett , Egar Bennett and first husband James Wilson. Memories of Betty will be carried on by her loving family her; husband Clarence R. Glendenning of Newton Falls; her daughters Cynthia Wilson of Newton Falls, Kimberly & Lewis Gomez of Boardman, Vanessa Wilson of Youngstown, her sons Curtis & Pat J. Wilson of Chanute, Kansas, James Wilson of Newton Falls; her step-daughters Theresa & Grayling Babcock of Southington, Judy Glendenning of Warren; her step-sons Richard & Barb Glendenning of Garrettsville, James Glendenning of Warren; sisters Laura Spotloe of Phillippi, W. VA., Elosie Ison of Fairmount, W. Va.; her fourteen grandchildren, and ten great- grandchildren Funeral Services will be held at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Thursday September 4, 2014 at 10:30AM. Friends may call the funeral home from 6-9PM on Wednesday. Betty will be laid to rest at Graham Cemetery in Southington, OH.
