Obituary

Betty Jean King, age 85, of Newton Falls, passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. She was born on April 16, 1933 in Tyler County, WV the daughter of the late Walter Willard Booher & Delcie Elizabeth (Tennant) Booher. Betty married the love of her life, George Glenn King on October 16, 1951 and they were blessed with 54 years of marriage together before he passed on August 12, 2006. She was a lifelong resident of Braceville. She worked as a bookkeeper at Burg Pattern & Woodworking shop for 25 years until her husband retired in 1995. Betty was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church where she was very active in the Willing Workers Sunday school class. She was a volunteer for the Sowers working group on Christian projects. Betty was a member of the Square Dance Club, and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed camping, traveling, teaching ceramics out of her home, doing crossword puzzles, shopping and most of all being with her family.

She is survived by: 2 daughters: Deborah & Fred Eichhorn of Newton Falls, Glenda Slomcheck & her longtime companion Richard Dulka of Warren, 2 sisters: Emogene Andriko of Newton Falls, Opal & Steve Bilovesky of Newton Falls, 2 brothers: Robert Booher of Mason, MI, Larry & Elise Booher of Warren, 4 grandchildren: Rachel & Thom Tauche, Jennifer Pifer & her companion Jason Mackie, Ryan Hudak, Kristie & Charley Pittle and 3 great grandchildren: Jace, Bentley, and Jackson.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glenn, and 1 brother Walter Booher.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be made to Grace United Methodist Church 1725 Drexel Avenue NW Warren, OH 44485 in memory of Glenn & Betty King.

Funeral services will be at the Grace United Methodist Church 1725 Drexel Ave NW Warren, OH 44485 on Monday March 4, 2019 at 1:00pm with Pastor Kyle Tennant officiating. Calling hours will be two hours prior to service time from 11:00am - 1:00pm. Betty will be laid to rest beside her husband Glenn at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.
