Betty Lou Littell, age 90 of Warren passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday April 23, 2016 at The Windor House in Champion. She was born on Feb. 26, 1926 in Mesopotamia, OH the daughter of the late Joseph and Etta (Kelly) Martin. Betty married Jefferson A. Littell on July 13, 2000, and they have enjoyed 15 years of marriage together. She has lived in Warren for the past 16 years, formerly of Leavittsburg. In 1985 she retired from Interstate United Located at Republic Steel in Warren as a supervisor after 20 years. She also worked at AVI Foods in Warren. She attended the Parkman Rd. Church of Christ and was a member of the Braceville Christian Church. Betty loved baking and was famous for her apple pies and making peanut butter fudge. She enjoyed gardening, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a past member of the Warren Township Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters: Virginia Lawrence, Doris Hayes, Beryl VanGorder,Peggy Sanderson, Red Woolweaver, and one brother: Dale Martin. She is survived by: her husband: Jefferson A. Littell of Warren, a daughter: Denise "Lorrie" ( Mark) Molnar of Champion, OH, a son: Dennis (Kathy) Drokin of Southington, OH, step daughters Linda Cortez of New Orleans and Mary Littell of Brooklyn New York, a sister: Pat Maffitt of Bazetta, OH, six grandchildren: Andrea Molnar, Lindsay Molnar, Jonathan ( Sarah) Drokin, Marisa ( Harry) Irwin, Marco Cortez, Nina Cortez and six great grandchildren. Calling hours will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM . Funeral services will be on Wednesday April 27 2016 at 11:00AM at the Braceville Christian Church, Rev. Jon Pratt officiating. Betty will be laid to rest at Pine Knoll Cemetery in Warren Twp. The family ask that contributions take the form of donations to charities that Betty suported for many years, The Salvation Army and the Disabled American Veterans.
