Betty Jean (Morris) Stafford, age 88 of West Farmington passed away Friday April 2, 2010 at Windsor House in Champion. Betty was born on Nov. 27, 1921 in Southington the daughter of the late Duane T. & Mary Faye (Gassman) Morris. She was a graduate of Parkman High School in 1939. Betty moved to West Farmington in 1950 from Parkman. She married Donald F. Stafford on May 20,1944 and he passed away on Oct. 4, 1979 after 35 years of marriage. She was a factory worker for Geauga Industries for 25 years before retiring in 1984. She was a member of the West Farmington United Methodist Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary #1090, United Methodist Womens, Mothers Club in West Farmington and the Relief Core. Betty loved dresssing as Mrs. Clause at West Farmington Methodist Church and at the Christmas parties at Windor House for many years. Memories of Betty will be carried on by her one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Joe & Larry Brewster of Braceville, two sons, John D. Stafford of Lordstown and Mark W. Stafford of Manessa, AL, ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. She is preceeded in death by one daughter, Radalon Rae Stafford, one brother, Richard Morris and a grandson, Donald Stafford Friends may call at the West Farmington United Methodist Church from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday April 10, 2010 where funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon. The family asks that contributions take the form of donations to the West Farmington United Methodist Women, 220 East College St. West Farmington, OH, 44491 or the activities department at Windsor House in Champion, 200 E. Glendola Ave., Champion, OH 44483. Arrangements are being handled by James Funeral Home, 8 East Broad Street, Newton Falls, OH (330) 872-5440.
