Blaine D. Kegarise of Southington went home to be with the lord on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in his residence. Mr. Kegarise was born in New Castle on October 2, 1938, the son of the late Edmund Miller and Margaret Pansy Kennedy Kegarise. He attended New Castle School System. Blaine proudly served our country in the United States Navy and earned the Medal of Good Conduct. Blaine retired in 2001 after 28 years of employment as a furnace operator at General Electric Mahoning Glass Plant. He is a member of Delightful Evangelical Congregational Church. Mr. Kegarise was a member of the Eagle Creek Conservation Club and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Blaine also enjoyed reading and traveling with his wife; their most memorable trip together was out west. Most importantly he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Linch Kegarise, whom he married February 12, 1982; a daughter, Rebecca (Charles) Drennen of Warren, OH; 3 sons, Blaine Douglas (Tammy) Kegarise of Gladewater, TX, Bradley (Alissa) Kegarise of Niles, and Roger (Barbara) Brown of Redding, PA; 13 grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Jeremiah, Christina, Adam, Levi, Savannah, Cody, Daniel, David, Brian, Charles, and Allison; 2 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Blaine was preceded in death by a son, Brian Kegarise; a grandchild, Jocelyn. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Delightful Evangelical Congregational Church 2473 Barclay Messerly Rd. Southing, OH 44470.
