Brandy D. (James) Thompson age 46 formerly of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday Sept. 8, 2026 at Reserve Care Hospice in Medina, OH. She was born on Feb. 19, 1980 in Warren, OH the daughter of Daniel L. James and Larava Lane (White) James. Brandy lived in Cuyahoga Falls for the last 15 years formerly of Newton Falls, OH where she graduated from Newton Falls High School in the Class of 1999. She married the love of her life, William (Bill) R. Thompson Jr. on Jan. 18, 2011 and they enjoyed 15 years of marriage together. When Brandy was younger, she was a member of the Job's Daughters. She is preceded in death by her mother Larava James, paternal grandparents: Bob & Lois James, and paternal grandparents: Jim & Kitty Belcher.

She is survived by: her husband: William (Bill) Thompson of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 5 sons: Matthew Thompson of Cuyahoga Falls, Billy Thompson of Michigan, Quentin Sawman of Boardman, OH, David Thompson of North Hill, OH, Asher Sawman of Boardman, OH, her father Daniel L. James Sr. of Darlington, PA, 1 sister: Melanie & Michael Bordonaro of Darlington, PA, and 1 brother: Danny (Bud) & Amanda James Jr. of East Palestine, OH.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Saturday Oct. 3, 2026 at 1:00pm with Rev. Jennifer Dorn officiating. Calling hours will be from 11:00am - 1:00pm at the funeral home. Jobs Daughters Bethel Chapter #35 will be having a service at the funeral home at 10:30am. Brandy has requested that all donations please be made to the Reserve Care Hospice 5075 Windfall Rd. Medina, OH 44256 in her memory.
