Bruce R. Rider age 69 of Palmyra Twp passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday March 17, 2026 at his residence. He was born on May 28, 1956 in North Charleroi, PA the son of the late Robert Junior Rider and Dorothy Irene (Dudgeon) Rider. Bruce had lived in Palmyra Twp since 1998 formerly of Warren and Lordstown. He graduated from Lordstown High School in the Class of 1974. Bruce married the love of his life, Cheryl Lee Morris on Sept. 9, 1978 and they have enjoyed 47 years of marriage together. He worked as an Oil Field Water Truck Driver for Ray Pander Trucking for 36 years retiring in 2016. Bruce loved doing things outdoors, camping, walking in the woods, clearing trails, mowing his grass, shooting archery, and the watching Pittsburgh Steelers Football. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Bruce is survived by: his wife: Cheryl L. Rider of Palmyra Twp, 2 sons: Corey & Renee Rider of Warren, Richie & Ashley Rider of Warren, and 2 grandchildren: Brooke & Baylee.

Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Tuesday March 24, 2026 at 11:00am with Pastor Tom Holbrook officiating. Calling hours with be at the funeral home on Monday March 23, 2026 from 4:00- 6:00pm. He will be laid to rest at Palmyra West Cemetery in Diamond, OH. The family has requested that all donations please be made to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County 812 Youngstown- Kingsville Rd. SE Vienna, OH 44473 in his memory.
