Cardine Sewell, age 85 of Braceville entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Laurie Ann Nursing Home. Cardine was born on September 15, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA the daughter of the late Eugene & Osceola (Wilson) Ford. Cardine and John Nelson Sewell were blessed with many wonderful years of marriage before his passing on May 8, 1975. Cardine loved Christian fellowshiping and activities. She was a born again Christian. Cardine loved family gatherings, helping with Meals on Wheels, bowling and playing bingo with her friends. Loving memories of Cardine will be carried on by her children, David (Gwen) Sewell of Warren, Faith (Michael) McKinnon of Warren, John (Ruth) Sewell of Arlington, TX, Mark Sewell of Newton Falls, Pamela (Reginald) Christian of Warren, sisters, Delorse Shavers of Niles, Arcema (Earl) Jones of Pittsburgh, PA, 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and a special dear friend, Dan Shavers of Braceville. Cardine was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband, John, sisters, Erma Williams, Geneva Jackson, brothers, LeMattres, Bolton and Eugene Ford. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 10:30 - 11:30 am at the First Christian Church, 17 N. Center St., Newton Falls, OH 44444. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:30 am at the church. Rev. Calvin Mason will officiate. Cardine will be laid to rest at Braceville Cemetery. The family has requested that contributions may be made to Living Word Sanctuary, 2940 Crestwood Dr., Warren, OH 44485.
