Carl Henry Byer Jr., age 57 of Pricetown, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Cleveland Clinic after a short illness. Carl was born on June 6, 1953, in Warren, OH the son of Carl H. Byer Sr. & Martha L. (Rockenfelder) Byer. Carl has lived in the Newton Falls/Pricetown area his entire life. Carl worked at Denman Tire as a rubber worker for 30 years retiring in 2006. He was a member of Pricetown United Methodist Church and a member of the 4th of July Committee in Newton Falls. Carl was very active with the car show in Newton Falls to raise funds for the 4th of July fireworks. Carl loved going to Florida and enjoyed collecting antique cars, doing geneology and working on the history of the Newton Falls and Lake Milton areas. Memories of Carl will be carried on by his father, Carl H. Byer Sr. of Newton Falls, his friend, Carol Bland of Newton Falls and many cousins and friends. Carl was preceeded in death by his mother, Martha. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 16, 2010 at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Carl will be laid to rest in Newton Falls Cemetery.
