Carlie "Shorty" Miracle age 84 of Lake Milton passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday June 2, 2024.  He was born on July 18, 1939 in Balkan, KY the son of the late William Miracle and Rhoda (Durham) Miracle.  Carlie has lived in Lake Milton for the last 22 years, formerly of Edinburg, OH.  He married the love of his life, Shirley Louise Hiaasen in March 1963 and they enjoyed the past 55 years of marriage together until her death on April 27, 2018.  After high school, he joined the US Navy and served during the Vietnam War from 1958- 1975.  Carlie then worked at Southeast Middle School as a custodian for 25 years retiring in Sept. 2000.  He loved fishing, cutting trees down for firewood, and just being active and enjoying life.  Carlie is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Shirley, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

He is survived by: 1 son: Steven C. Miracle of Newton Falls, and 1 granddaughter: Evelyn L. Miracle.

Cremation has taken place, and there will be no services.
