Obituary

Carol Louise (Ramsell) Leichliter, age 54, of Girard was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away peacefully from a long courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 4:00am. Carol was born on Oct. 7, 1956 in Albany, NY the daughter of the late Albert Ramsell and Hazel (Gibson) Ramsell. She married her husband Dave Leichliter on Dec. 24, 1987, and he passed away after 17 yrs of marriage in May 2005. Carol has lived in Girard since 1987, and she is formerly of Windham. Carol attended the Leavittsburg Church of God while she was growing up as a kid, and later in life started attended the Hope Baptist Church in Girard. She was employed at McQuaids Gas Station in Girard as a cashier for about 10 yrs retiring in 2007. Carol loved to do scrapbooking, crafting, reading her bible and most of all she loved spending time and playing with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Dave. Memories of Carol will be carried on by her loving family: One daughter: Christine & Ben DeArmitt of Austintown, OH One Son: Ron & Nicole Matthews of Girard, OH Three Sisters: Kathy Matthews of Warren Shelley & Brian Morrison of Warren Kim Ramsell of Warren One Brother: Wayne & Diane Ramsell of Shalersville, OH 9 Grandchildren According to Carol's wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial service to celebrate Carol's life will be held at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Saturday July 9, 2011 at 12:00 pm. The family will receive friends for calling hours from 10: 00 am - 12:00 pm before service time. The family would like to thank MVI Hospice Care personally for all the great care and dignity you guys gave to my mother during her difficult time. Thank You So Much!
