Carole Jean Menelle, age 71, of Warren passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Monday morning Jan. 12, 2015 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. She was born on Feb. 16, 1943 in Youngstown, OH the daughter of the late John Joseph Menelle and Constance Frances (Schiavone) Menelle. Carole has lived in Warren since 1963, and worked at Packard Electric for 34 years retiring in 1997. Carole married Joseph A. Bednarcik on June 29, 2000 and they enjoyed 14 years of marriage together. She was a member of the Saint John Paul II Parish (formerly St. Pius X Catholic Church) in Warren for many years. She also was a member of Warren Junior Women's League, the Warren City Federation, a longtime member of the Packard Ladies Golf League, the Upton Association and Red Cross Volunteers, and she was the past recording secretary for the Warren Civic Music Association. Carole was an avid golfer, loved traveling, gardening, enjoyed family functions and most of all she was very proud of her Italian heritage. She was dedicated to community service and was very giving to others in need. Carole was preceded in death by, her parents, 1 step sister: Betty J. Amandolea, 1 step brother: Timothy Niles, 1 step granddaughter: Alexa M. Thalacker. She is survived by: her husband: Joseph A. Bednarcik of Warren, 1 brother: John & Karen Niles of Akron, OH, 2 step daughters: Kimberly Bednarcik of Newton Falls, Amanda & Tony Thalacker of Lake Milton, OH, 1 step son: Matthew & Michelle Bednarcik of Champion, OH, 1 step sister: Shirley & Ken Signor of Austintown, OH, 7 nieces and nephews, 5 grandchildren, and dearest friends Dee Scerba and Koreen Palm. Calling hours will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Thursday Jan 15, 2015 from 4:00- 7:00pm and also 12:00- 1:00pm on Friday. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Friday Jan 16, 2015 at 1:00pm with Father Christopher Henyk officiating. Carole will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery in Newton Falls.
