Carolyn "Kit" May Shiflett age 80 of Braceville passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday Jan. 14, 2025 at her residence. She was born on Oct. 2, 1944 in Akron, OH the daughter of the late Edward Kaye Forsythe and Dora Jean (Mills) Forsythe. Carolyn married the love of her life, Keith Paul Shiflett on May 12, 1962, and they have enjoyed the past 62 years of marriage together until his death on July 16, 2024. She and her husband Keith have lived in Braceville for 58 years, formerly of Windham, OH.  Carolyn enjoyed lifetime friendships, quilting, sewing class at Braceville Town Hall, crafting, nicknacks, Santa, raising her children and grandchildren, and 'Carolyn's Dolls" where she handmade artistic porcelain dolls. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Keith Paul Shiflett, 1 brother: Donald Edward Kaye Forsythe, and 1 sister: Debra Jean Forsythe.

Carolyn is survived by: 3 sons: Floyd & Cheri Shiflett of Warren, OH, Bryan Shiflett of Braceville, Michael & Shannon Shiflett of Newton Falls, 1 sister: Patricia Cougar of Kent, OH, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Monday, January 20, 2025  at  12:00pm with Rev. Glen Rader officiating.  Calling hours will be one hour prior from 11:00- 12:00pm.  Carolyn will be laid to rest beside her husband Keith at Braceville Cemetery.
