Obituary

Carolyn Sue Rinard, age 71 of Austintown passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday November 27, 2016 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. Carolyn was born on March 16, 1945 in Canton the daughter of the late John Garfield and Comella (Mayle) Thompson. Carolyn married the love of her life Gary Denver Rinard on Sept. 15, 1962. Carolyn and Gary were blessed with 46 years of marriage until his passing on February 20, 2008. She has lived in Austintown for the past two years formerly of Newton Falls since 1966 and Canton. Carolyn was a member of the Newton Falls Church of the Nazarene and loved crafts & decorating. She is survived by: daughters; Quintina (Douglas) Witherow of Newton Falls, Dena (Tony) Marafiote of Newton Falls, sisters; Zunna (Carlos) Cruze of Canton, Crystal Thompson of Canton, Lisa Thompson of Canton, Yolanda (Brian) Smith of Canton, brothers; John (Christine) Thompson of Canton, Jack (Theresa) Thompson of Canton, her best friend: Susie Reese, granddaughters; Alysia (Steve) Patton of Niles, Alexis Witherow of Newton Falls, Elizabeth Woofter of Cincinnati, and Alaina Woofter of Newton Falls. Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband Gary. Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Patricia Seger officiating. Calling hours will be two hours prior to service time from 11:00 am -1:00 pm. Carolyn will be laid to rest beside her husband Gary at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.
