Cheryl Jean Waldorf age 78 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday Sept. 5, 2026 at her residence. She was born on Sept. 24, 1947 in Warren, OH the daughter of the late Carmen J. Gumino Sr. and Dorothy C. (Teutsch) Gumino. Cheryl lived her entire life in Newton Falls and graduated from Newton Falls High School in the Class of 1965. She married the love of her life, Mark William Waldorf on Aug. 23, 1973 and they enjoyed 53 wonderful years of marriage together. Cheryl worked as a barmaid at Amvets Post #112 in Newton Falls for over 35 years retiring in 2001. She was a member of the Amvets Post #112 where she was the Kitchen Chairman , and the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post #3332 in Newton Falls. Cheryl loved cooking, reading, collecting crystals & angels, and being with her family. She especially loved spending time with Mark on their long Harley rides. She is preceded in death by her parents: Carmen & Dorothy Gumino ,and 2 brothers: James & Joseph Gumino.

Cheryl is survived by: her husband: Mark W. Waldorf of Newton Falls, 1 daughter: Michelle Wolf of Chambersburg, PA, 2 sons: Bryan & Stacy Waldorf of Twinsburg, OH, Casey & Charity Waldorf of Toledo, OH, 1 sister: Teresa & Jon Melkonian of Greenville, SC, 2 brothers: Tony Gumino of Newton Falls, Carmen & Debbie Gumino Jr. of Lake Milton, OH, 7 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place. A Graveside service will be at Newton Falls Cemetery on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026 at 11:00am. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Amvets Post # 112 on Friday, Sept. 25, 2026 at 4:00PM.
