Corinne Annie (Tachovaka) Henderson, age 88 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully on Friday March 7, 2014 at the Laurie Ann Nursing Home in Newton Falls with her loving family by her side. Corinne was born on Feb. 17, 1926 in Plainville, GA the daughter of the late Samuel Frank and Annie Corinne (Dodd) Carden. She grew up in Calhoun, GA and graduated from Liberty High School Class of 1943 in Calhoun. Corinne came to Newton Falls in 1948 and worked as a switch board operator for Bell Telephone in the 50s. She has also worked at the Ravenna Arsenal and for many years in retail sales for Aid & Save Drugstore in Newton Falls. She married Steve Tachovaka on May 19, 1951 and assisted him in running Steve's Gun Shop until he passed away on June 6, 1969. She later married Ralph Henderson December 29, 1979 and he passed away on April 19, 1981. Corinne was a member of St. Mary & Joseph Church in Newton Falls. She was a big Cleveland Indians Fan. Corinne would spend many hours creating ceramics, working on crafts and gardening. Memories of her will be cherished by her sons & daughter in laws: Dan & Dianna Tachovaka and Michael & Pamela Tachovaka both of Warren, OH, granddaughter and her husband Angie and Robbie Bianco of Newton Falls. granddaughter's Cortney Tachovaka of Fresno CA. and Kalyn Tachovaka of Clovis CA, 2 great granddaughters Bethany and Julie Bianco. Corinne was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Louise Balliew and brothers C.B., Albert, Wilburn, Olen, Orren and Sam Carden The family will receive friends Thursday March 13, 2014 at the James Funeral Home from 5 to 7pm where a memorial service will immediately follow at 7:00PM. Corinne will be laid to rest by her husband Steve Tachovaka in St Joseph Cemetery in Newton Falls.
