Cynthia R. Jarvis age 68 of Leavittsburg passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Monday June 1, 2026. She was born on August 13, 1957 in Warren, OH the daughter of the late Eugene C. Greathouse Sr. and Mary E. (Maze) Greathouse. Cindy graduated from Newton Falls High School in the Class of 1976. She then married the love of her life, Charles O. Jarvis on Dec. 13, 1979 and together they enjoyed 44 years of marriage until his death on May 24, 2024. Before making their permanent home back in Leavittsburg, Cindy & Charles lived in Germany and New York while Charles served in the US Army. Cindy was of Protestant faith and enjoyed quilting in her spare time and spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, and 1 daughter: Lindsy Jarvis.
Cindy is survived by: her son: Josh Jarvis, 3 sisters: Judy & Rod Byers, Patty & Eddy Howard, Elizabeth Schwab and 1 brother: Eugene & Diane Greathouse Jr.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Friday, June 5, 2026 at 12:00pm with Pastor Eddy Howard officiating. Calling hours will be from 10:00am -12:00pm. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Charles at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna, OH. She requested that all donations please be made to the American Cancer Society PO Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741 in her memory.
