Dana K. Peterson age 73 of Leavittsburg passed away suddenly at St. Joseph Eastland Hospital in Warren.  She was born on Nov. 5, 1950 in Uniontown, PA the daughter of the late Floyd Edward Black and Cleo Marie (Glisan) Black.  Dana has lived in Leavittsburg for 1 year, formerly of Columbus, OH.  She graduated from Howland High School in the Class of 1969. She married Dale Peterson and they enjoyed many years together until his death on April 18, 2009.  Dana worked as a Manager for VSP Vision Care in Columbus, OH.  She was a member of the Moose Lodge, Army & Navy Club, American Legion and VFW in Columbus.  Dana loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Browns, but most of all she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale Peterson, 2 sisters: Inez Dzurilla, Betty Black, and 1 brother: Donnie Black.

Dana is survived by: 1 son: Michael Harris of Newton Falls, 4 sisters: Brenda Smuke of Austintown, OH, Sonya Black of Texas, Karen Black and her companion (Barry Spear) of Warren, Marsha & Bernie Kovach of Austintown, OH, 1 brother: Ronald & Tracy Black Sr. of Warren, her life partner of 15 years:  Ronald E. Newcomb, 2 grandchildren: Harrah & Corey Rounds, Emma Harris, and 4 great grandchildren: Dale, Hadley, Christopher, and Mary Jane.

Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life Service will be at a later date and time.
