David Michael Collins, age 62, of Newton Falls entered into eternal rest at his home on Thursday, April 30, 2015. David was born on June 4, 1952 in Warren, the son of the late Harold D. and Edna F. (Petrila) Collins. David graduated from James A. Garfield High School in Garrettsville. After graduation, he enlisted into the US Marine Corps. where he served from 1971-1978 as a Structural Air Repairman. After David was honorably discharged he received his Associate Degree of Applied Science in Computer Programming from Southern Ohio College Northeast in Akron. David was employed as a custodian for the Wellness Center in Youngstown for 6 years. He enjoyed collecting antique bottles, going to garage sales and flea markets. Loving memories of David will be carried on by his sister, Karen (Steve) Sherbondy of Newbury, and his brothers, Fred (Frances) Collins of Freedom and John (Jackie) Collins of Braceville. David was preceeded in death by his parents. Cremation has taken place and per the family's wishes, there will be no services. The family asks that donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301 in memory of David.
