David L. Ford Sr., age 68 of Leavittsburg entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at his residence with his family by his side from a long illness. On May 31, 1943 in Warren, Virgil & Doris (Lazzio) Ford were blessed with the birth of their son, David. He has lived in the Leavittsburg area for the past 47 years. David worked as a fork lift driver for 25 years at Thermatex. David married the former Karen Gill on January 14, 1964. They were married 32 wonderful years before her passing on August 23, 1996. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gaming and going to auctions. Loving memories of David will be carried on by his daughter, Desiree Blosser of Howland, his son & daughter-in-law, David & LeeAnn Ford Jr. of Warren Twp., his mother, Doris Lazzio of Shallotte, NC, grandchildren, Kayla & Jason Blosser of Howland, Brandon Helmheckel, Matt Ford, Tim Ford of Warren Twp., Joe Ford of Braceville, great granddaughter, Alayna Ford of Braceville, sisters, Diane (Bill) Davis of FL, Sandy (Jerry) Platt of NC, Mary Ann (Russell) McCurdy of NY, Chris (Bob) Dolen of FL, Lynn (Van) Kohler of NY, brothers, Larry (Pam) McCall of OH, Rex (Barbara) Ford of SC, Allen (Debbie) Ford of NY, Paul (Sheryl) Ford of NY and his significant other, Joyce Anspach of Leavittsburg. David was preceeded in death by his wife, Karen, father, Virgil, step-father, Victor Lazzio, step-mother, Justine Ford and two brothers, Richard and Virgil Ford. Cremation has taken place.
