Obituary

David John Harley IV age 69 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday Dec.13, 2016 at the Laurie Ann Nursing Home in Newton Falls. He was born on November 6, 1947 in Fairmont, WV the son of the late David John Harley III & Ruth Anne (Butcher) Harley. After moving from West Virginia to Ohio, David worked as a final inspector at General Motors in Lordstown for over 20 years. He lived in Newton Falls since 2012, formerly of Warren, OH. He served faithfully in the US Navy during Vietnam, and was a member of the VFW & American Legion in Warren. He loved hunting, fishing, playing music, and he was very skilled in doing taxidermy work. He is survived by: 1 daughter: Jennifer & Jason Carmichael of Garrettsville, OH, 3 sons: David & Christine Harley V of Newton Falls, Joshua Ray Harley of Warren, OH, Craig Harley of Cream Ridge, NJ, 4 grandchildren: Jack Harley Carmichael, David John Harley VI, Dylan Craig Harley, and Quinn Marie Harley. David is preceded in death by his parents, and 1 brother Edwin Harley. Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Monday Dec. 19, 2016 at 1:00pm. The family will receive friends for calling hours from 11:00am-1:00pm at the funeral home. David will be laid to rest at Newton Falls Cemetery.
