David Lee Seljan age 82 of Windham went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday Feb 22, 2026 at his residence in Windham. He was born on Aug. 9, 1943 in Warren, OH the son of the late Harry Arthur Seljan Sr. and Betty Marie (Sindledecker) Seljan. Dave graduated from Champion High School in the Class of 1961. After high school , he served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS Saratoga from 1961-1966. Dave married the love of his life, Cheryl Renee Fowler on July 1, 1968 and they have enjoyed 57 years of marriage together. He worked as an Extruding Operator for Filmco Inc. in Aurora for over 40 years retiring in 2006. Dave was a faithful member of the Faith Evangelical Free Church in Nelson Twp for many years. He loved his church family, and helping the churches youth program. Dave also loved spending time with his grandchildren, gardening, woodworking, drag racing his cars, and his many fishing trips to Canada. He is preceded in death by his parents, and 1 daughter: Sheryl L. Seljan.
Dave is survived by: his wife: Renee Seljan of Windham, 1 daughter: Susan & Phil Yannacey of Brevard, NC, 1 son: Stephen & Anna Seljan of Appleton, WI, 1 sister: Diane Pasek of Twinsburg, OH, 1 brother: Harry "Art" Seljan of Cortland, OH, 7 grandchildren: Kristina & Gabriella Yannacey, Kayla Seljan-Jandrokovic, Alexandrea, Dan & Matthew Furney, Dylan (Beth), 3 great grandchildren: Lena, Christopher, Ryan & one due in April, and many nieces & nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at the Faith Evangelical Free Church 10585 Windham -Parkman Rd. Garrettsville, OH 44231 on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 12 to 4PM. He will be laid to rest at Windham Twp Cemetery.
