Diana S. Jones age 71 of Newton Falls passed away suddenly on Friday Jan. 30, 2026 at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna. She was born on April 10, 1954 in Warren, OH the daughter of Richard Paul Zimomra and Shirley Mae (Crone) Zimomra. Diana had lived in Newton Falls all of her life and graduated from Newton Falls High School in the Class of 1972. She married Richard E. Jones Jr. on Aug 26, 1995 and they have enjoyed 30 years of marriage together. Diana worked as a cashier for E & H Ace Hardware (formerly Fair Price) in Newton Falls for over 20 years. She loved gardening, going to craft stores, planting flowers, rescuing pets of all kinds, and was a connoisseur of many foods. Diana is preceded in death by her father Richard Zimomra, and a step son: Justin Daniel Jonathan Jones.

She is survived by: her husband: Richard E. Jones Jr. of Newton Falls, her mother: Shirley M. Zimomra of Newton Falls, 2 brothers: Donald & Melanie Zimomra of Arab, AL, Jim & Jennifer Zimomra of Newton Falls, 1 step son: Richard & Ana Jones III of Micanopy, FL, 3 nieces. 1 great niece, 1 great nephew, 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place, and there will be no services. She will be laid to rest at Jackson Twp, Cemetery in North Jackson, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that all donations please be made to the Healthy Hearts & Paws Project 909 Martin Luther King Blvd. SW Warren, OH 44485 in her memory.
