Donald Barrick, age 77, of Newton Falls passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the Cleveland Clinic of natural causes. He was born on December 27, 1939 in Uniontown,PA the son of the late Mark Richard & Frances Ethlyn (Woodward) Barrick. Donald married the love of his life Barbara Jeanne Eddy on November 23, 1961 and they have enjoyed 55 years of marriage together. Donald had lived in Newton Falls, formerly of Arizona. He worked as a teacher for The Orme School in Mayer, AZ for 29 years before retiring in 2007. He was a football, basketball and track coach for many years. Donald was a member of the United Methodist Church in Newton Falls and was a 50 plus year member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity Epsilon-Eta Chapter. He enjoyed painting, drawing, making Native-American pottery and cooking. He also enjoyed watching Ohio State Football. Memories of Donald will be carried on by his loving family; his wife Barbara of Newton Falls; his 2 sons Jeffrey & (Ann) Barrick of Maumee, OH, and Craig Barrick of Round Rock,TX; his 6 grandchildren Jillian, Alexander, Andrew, Emily, Allison, Rebecca; and his great-grandchild Maria. Donald is preceeded in death by his parents, and 1 sister Mary Rebecca Barrick. Per Donald's wishes cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at the United Methodist Church in Newton Falls on Thursday, March 23, 2017, at 12:30PM, where calling hours will be held from 11:30am to 12:30pm prior to service time.
