Donald William Sipka, age 91, of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Laurie Ann Nursing Home in Newton Falls. He was born on March 8, 1925 in Newton Falls, OH the son of the late George & Susan (Durdik) Sipka. He served his country faithfully in the US Navy during WWII. Donald married the love of his life Zelma Katherine Howard on June 4, 1955 and they enjoyed 61 years of marriage together. He had lived in Newton Falls all his life working as a supervisor for Cleveland Cut Flowers for 37 years. He was also a bus driver for Newton Falls Schools for several years and worked as a maintenance manager at Trumbull Saving Bank for over 10 years. Donald enjoyed collecting coins, feeding birds, bowling, gardening, and traveling with the First Church of God Golden Agers. He also delivered for Meals on Wheels for many years until age 85, and was a member of the Coin Club in Warren, OH. He is survived by: his wife Zelma K. Sipka of Newton Falls, OH, their daughter Donna & Richard Dunn of Gilbert, AZ; his brothers Albert Sipka of Warren, George & Harriet Sipka of Newton Falls; their 2 grandchildren: Brian & Kris Dunn of Phoenix, AZ, Tiffany (Dunn)& Dan Pittman of Gilbert, AZ., and 6 great grandchildren. Donald is preceded in death by his parents, and his 3 brothers Milan, Arnold, and Louis Sipka. Calling hours will be held at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Monday, February 20, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00PM. Funeral Services will be held at the First Church of God in Newton Falls on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 11:00am with Rev. Arnold Edmondson officiating the service. Donald will be laid to rest at Newton Falls Cemetery.
