Dorothy L. Casey age 86 of Lake Milton passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday June 16, 2026 at the Country Club Rehabilitation Campus in Newton Falls. She was born on May 24, 1940 in Niles, OH the daughter of the late Edward James Casey and Helen Dorothy (Hardt) Casey. After high school, she served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1961-1964. Dorothy then went to work for the US Postal Service as a postal Clerk in San Francisco, CA for 30 years from 1964- 1994. She moved to Lake Milton in 1995 and was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes St. Catherine's and St. James Catholic Church. She also was a life member of the Newton Falls Amvets Post #112. Dorothy loved reading, walking, and many sports especially the San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers, Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football, Cleveland Indians, and Cleveland Browns. She is preceded in death by her parents Edward & Helen Casey, 2 brothers: Theodore & Terry Casey, and 1 sister: Patricia Butler.

Dorothy is survived by: her 2 nephews: Jim & Michele Butler of Lake Milton, and Todd & Dawnielle Sunshine Butler of Lake Milton.

Graveside Services will be at St. Stephen's Cemetery in Niles, OH on Tuesday June 23, 2026 at 10:00am with Pastor Nathan Bacorn officiating. She will be laid to rest with full military honors performed by the Newton Falls Veterans Honor Guard. The family has requested that all donations please be made to the Newton Falls Amvets Post #112 37 West Broad St. Newton Falls, OH 44444 in Dorothy's name.
