Dorothy Vaselych Harvey, of Warren, passed away into eternal life on Sunday June 16, 2013 at the Hospice House of Poland surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was a devout Christian who served the Lord, her family and Body of Christ faithfully all her life. She left us Sunday morning to attend the big church in the sky with her The Heavenly Father on Father's Day to receive her gift of eternal life which was her hope and prayer. She was born on September 13, 1924, in Warren, OH the daughter of the late John & Elizabeth (Lengyel) Vaselych. Dorothy was married to Dennis "Moe" Harvey for over 36 years before he passed away on November 26, 1982. She had lived in the Warren area for most her life working as a U.S. Postal Service secretary to the postmaster for 25 years. Dorothy served in the US Navy (Wave) during WWII from October 19, 1944 until June 4, 1946. She was involved in Kairos a prison ministry. Dorothy enjoyed reading her bible and spending time with her family and friends. Memories of Dorothy will be carried on by her loving family; her son Johnathon "Johnny" C. Harvey III of Mansfield; her daughter Denice J. Cupples of Warren; her grandchildren Dawn & David Hood of Newton Falls, Rodd & Lori Meyer of Southington, Todd & Gina Meyer of Powell, James Meyer & Vickie Brocious of Champion, Krystan Zandarski of Boardman, Megan & Randall Lucariello of Niles, Johnda Harvey of Warren and 22 great-grandchildren. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, John and Elizabeth Vaselych, her loving husband Dennis "Moe" Harvey, her daughter Deborah D. Zandarski, her grandson Joel Mark Meyer, her granddaughter Terri Ann Wikoff, and her sister Natalie Vaselych. The family asks that all contributions go in the form of donations to the Howland Glenn Baptist Church, 1348 Niles Cortland Road, Warren, OH 44484. Calling hours will be at the Howland Glenn Baptist Church in Howland on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00PM & one hour prior to service time on Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM. Funeral services will be held at the church on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 11:00AM. Dorothy will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery.
