Dorothy Marie (Snookie) Zelenak, age 79 of Braceville passed away peacefully into eternal life with her Savior on Sunday May 6, 2012. Dottie was born on June 18, 1932 in Warren, OH the loving daughter of Addison Austin Davis and Mary Emmer (Fisher) Davis. Dottie graduated from Braceville High School in 1950. After her graduation she was accepted into the Trumbull Memorial Hospital School of Nursing where she received her Registered Nursing Degree. Dottie married the love of her life, John Edward Zelenak on July 9, 1954 and he survives. Dottie worked for Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren for 11 years and the Visiting Nurses of Trumbull County for 22 years retiring in 1994. She delivered mobile meals for over 10 years along with her husband. Dottie did what she loved most for over 32 years-- taking care of others. Dottie was a member of OES Order of the Eastern Star #79 in Newton Falls for many years. Dottie was a faithful member of the Braceville Christian Church where she served as a deaconess. Memories of Dorothy will be carried on by her loving husband of 57 years, John Edward Zelenak of Braceville, one Daughter: Mary Kay & William Van de Graaff of Burr Ridge, IL, two Sons: Mark & Tammy Zelenak of Sarasota, FL, David Zelenak of Braceville, OH, 5 Grandsons: Robert, David, Michael, Justin, and Jordan (Andrea) There will be an Eastern Star service at 4:30 pm , Thursday May 10, 2012. The family will receive friends following the Eastern Star service at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Thursday May 10, 2012 from 5-8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at the Braceville Christian Church on Friday May 11, 2012 at 10:30 am with Rev Jon Pratt officiating the service. Dottie will then be laid to rest at the Braceville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations go to the Braceville Christian Church 4387 Church St. SW Newton Falls, OH 44444.
