Douglas L. Herlinger, age 68, of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Autumn Hills Nursing Home in Niles, OH. He was born on April 7, 1947 in Warren, OH the son of the late Frank C. Herlinger II & Lois D. (Crabbs) Herlinger. Doug had lived in Newton Falls for over 40 years, working as a Manager for the Newton Falls Church Mouse since 1985. He also worked at Skyway Drive-In in Warren for many years. Doug was a member of the Braceville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, working on computers, going out for dinner with family and friends, listening to music, and cooking. He was a great family historian, who enjoyed telling stories. Memories of Doug will be carried on by his loving family; his brother Frank C. Herlinger III of Everett,WA; his nieces Kathy & Jim Blose in Leavittsburg, Jamie & Dave Bergley of Everett, WA; his nephews Frank C. Herlinger IV of Berlin,Germany, Gregory Herlinger of Margate, FL; his great niece Tiffany & Todd Shearon of Lake Forest, NC; his great nephews William Rose of Leavittsburg, Logan Bergley of Everett, WA; his great-great nieces Khloe & Kayla Shearon of Lake Forest, NC. He is preceded in death by his parents. The family has requested that all donations please be made to the Church Mouse Thrift Shoppe 26 West Broad Street, Newton Falls, Ohio 44444 in memory of Douglas L. Herlinger. Per Doug's wishes cremation has taken place. Calling hours will be held at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 12:00 to 2:00PM. Memorial Services will immediately follow at 2:00PM. Doug will be laid to rest next to his mother Lois in Braceville Cemetery.
