Edith Mae Ozanich age 85 of Braceville passed away peacefully on Saturday December 6, 2014 at her home with her loving family by her side. Edith was born in Leavittsburg, OH on April 30, 1929, the daughter of the late Edward Lewis Fullwiler & Lottie Bell (Cuttings) Fullwiler. Edith grew up in the Newton Falls and Braceville area, and was raised by her Aunt and Uncle Raymond and Kay Fullwiler after losing her parents at the young age of 11. She married her loving husband Pete Ozanich on November 11, 1948 and enjoyed 51 years together before he passed on February 7, 2000. Edith and Pete raised their family together in Braceville. Edith worked at HK Porter for many years and devised many production procedures that are still in use today. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Braceville where she enjoyed being a greeter and helping other members of the church and community. She loved gardening and raising flowers, feeding her hummingbirds, and especially making cakes for family and friends. Edith's "Rainbow Cakes" were well-known around the area. She also was a member of the Knit Knacks Club in Braceville for many years. Edith loved to put a smile on peoples' faces: one of her favorite sayings was "A day without a smile is a day wasted." Her memories will be carried on by her daughter: Pat & (friend Cindy Macaluso) Wilson of Hiram, Sons Edward of Braceville , Raymond of Newton Falls and son and his wife, Thomas & Linda of Champion. A brother and his wife Milton & Dorothy Fullwiler of Defuniak Springs FL. She will always be missed by her 6 grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as Gram: Allison & husband (Patrick Ankrom) Wilson, Cody , Andrew, Jake, Lauren Ozanich, and Grandson and his wife Joshua and Jamie Ozanich. 2 Great grandsons Owen and Carter and her close friend Cheryl Reider of Braceville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Pete, and 4 brothers Howard, Ray, Edward and Walter Fullwiler. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls where funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 10, 2014 at 10:00 AM. The family asks that all contributions take the form of donations to the First Christian Church of Braceville.
