Eileen Virginia Hewitt, age 92 of Newton Falls, died peacefully on April 4, 2013 at Cedar Creek Health Care Center in Warren. Eileen was born on February 20, 1921 in Bergholz, OH the daughter of Chester Leroy & Ruth Ella (Fawcett) Hawkins. Eileen was a 1939 graduate of Newton Falls High School. Eileen married Harold Hewitt on September 7, 1946. They were married for 39 years before his passing in 1985. She was employed at Wean Engineering for 22 years retiring in 1970. She was a secretary for Chopkro Real Estate & Insurance from 1979 - 1989. Eileen was a member of the Mayflower Guild with the First Congregational Church in Newton Falls and a member of the Wean Women Retirees. She enjoyed walking, writing letters and keeping a diary. Loving memories of Eileen will be carried on by her sister, Bonnie L. (Jack) Enberg of Newton Falls, her brothers, Harlan H. (Shirley) Hawkins of Newton Falls, Jerry L. (Ruby) Hawkins of Warren, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Eileen was preceeded in death by her parents, brothers, Ronald E. of Champion, Wayne G. of Lake Milton and her sister, Shirley J. Lynn of Cleveland. Calling hours will be held Monday, April 8, 2013 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at James Funeral Home where the funeral service will immediately follow at 7:00 pm. Cremation will take place. Eileen will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery in Newton Falls. Eileen requested that material contributions be made to the church.
