Eleanor L. Overholt, age 74 of Braceville entered peacefully into eternal life on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Windsor House in Champion with her family by her side. Eleanor was born on July 25, 1936 in Newton Falls,Ohio the daughter of William and Rhoda (Spencer) Butler. Eleanor married the love of her life, Lawrence Edward Overholt on March 5, 1956 and he passed away after 44 years of marriage on October 15, 1990. She has lived in the Braceville area for most of her life where she was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Williams Catholic Church in Champion. Loving memories of Eleanor will be carried on by her daughter & son-in-law, Kathryn & Edward Smith of Southington, granddaughter and her husband, Selena & David Serotko of Cortland, Grandaughters Melissa, Brittany , Breanna and Alison Smith of Southington, sisters Rhoda Montellese of Champion, Theresa Straw of Warren, Helen Hofmeister of Twinsburg, sisters and their husbands Vicky & Arthur DeVault of Florida, and Florence & Thomas Collins of Mineral Ridge. Eleanor was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband, and four sisters . Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at James Funeral Home where Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 3, 2010 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior. Father Michael D. Balash will officiate. Eleanor will be laid to rest in Graham Cemetery in Southington.
