Elizabeth Woodyard, age 88, of Braceville passed away peacefully on Friday, July 20, 2012, at Laurie Ann Nursing Home in Newton Falls. Elizabeth was born at her home in Leavittsburg, OH on August 7, 1923 the daughter of the late George W. and Captolia E. (Elwell) Taylor. After graduating High School she attended Business College and married her loving husband George Edmond Woodyard on February 12, 1956. She spent all of her life in the Braceville area. She worked at Packard Electric as a payroll clerk for a few years then stayed home to raise her family. Elizabeth attended The First Church of God in Newton Falls. She was a member of Morning Light Chapter #80 Order of Eastern Star. She was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts for many years, and she loved doing crafts. Memories of Elizabeth will be carried on by her loving husband George Edmond Woodyard of Braceville, Daughter and Son in law: Martha & Matthew Montgomery of Newton Falls and her two grandsons Roy and Lee Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Timothy L. Woodyard, her three sisters: Katherine Airwick, Irene Ridgway, Francis Bock and two brothers Harry and Fred Taylor. Eastern Star services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Monday July 23, 2012 at 6PM followed by calling hours from 6:30PM to 8:30PM. Funeral services will be on Tuesday July 24, 2012 at the Newton Falls First Church of God at 11am with visitation at the church one hour prior to service time.
