NEWTON FALLS: Esther Lucille Baker, age 94, of Newton Falls passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring. She was born on September 20, 1920, in LaRue, OH, the daughter of the late John Albert & Isa Gladys (Cook) Dilsaver. Esther married the love of her life, Charles F. Baker, on September 12, 1943 and they enjoyed 40 years of marriage together before he passed away on August 15, 1984. Esther lived in Newton Falls for 67 years formerly of LaRue. She worked as a Registered Nurse for White Cross Hospital, St. Joseph Health Center, Rockwell and Dr. Kyle's Office. Esther was a member of the Newton Falls United Methodist Church, where she belonged to Lydia Circle. She also was a member of Evening Arts Guild and Friends of the Library in Newton Falls. Esther enjoyed reading, crocheting and traveling. Memories of Esther will be carried on by her loving family; her granddaughters Sarah Baker of Austintown, Rachel Baker of Newton Falls; her son Don & Carol Baker of Newton Falls; her sisters Claranell Sasse of Findlay, OH and Frances & Ralph Schaber of Ontario, OH and grandchildren & step grandchildren. She is preceded in death by 2 stepsons: Danny & Charles Terry Baker, and 2 brothers Harry & Raymond Dilsaver. Calling hours will be held at the Newton Falls United Methodist Church on Friday, August 21, 2015 from 10:00 to 11:00AM. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 11:00AM at the church. Esther will be laid to rest next to her husband Charles at Newton Falls Cemetery. The family asks that all contributions take the form of donations to either the Newton Falls United Methodist Church 336 Ridge Rd.
