HOWLAND--- Esther Geneva Hinerman, age 89 formerly of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home in Howland. She was born on June 7, 1925 in Brigham, WI. Esther married the love of her life Samuel C. Hinerman Jr. on July 28, 1946 and they enjoyed almost 51 years of marriage until he passed away on April 14, 1997. She has lived in Newton Falls for over 20 years formerly of Hopewell, VA. Esther worked as a secretary at the First Christian Church in Newton Falls for 15 years retiring in 1970. She loved to play bridge, crocheting, and playing cards. She also enjoyed being with her family very much. Esther is a member of the Newton Falls United Methodist Church for many years. She was a member of Leading Star Chapter #79, Alpha Chapter #1 Order of the Eastern Star, Order of the Amaranth-Colonial Heights Court #10, Volunteer at the John Randolph Hospital in Radiology. Esther is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Samuel, and 1 sister: Virginia M. Woodard. She is survived by: 1 son: Samuel & Lois Hinerman of Newton Falls, 1 sister: Ruth Ann & Kenneth Johnson of Prairie du Chien, WI, 2 grandchildren: Lori J. Wensel of Hubbard, Samuel D. & Jennifer Hinerman of Mason, OH, 4 great grandchildren: Jennie M. Wensel of Hubbard, Addison Brooke Hinerman of Mason, OH, Noah D. Wensel of Hubbard, Samuel D. Hinerman Jr. of Mason, OH, and several nieces. Per Esther's wishes, cremation has taken place. Private family services will take place at a later date and time. Esther will be laid to rest beside her husband Samuel at Hawley Cemetery in Paris Twp., OH. The family has requested that all donations please be made to the Shepherd Foundation (Staff Appreciation) 4100 North River Rd. NE Warren, OH 44484 in memory of Esther G. Hinerman.
