Eugene Cecil Greathouse Sr., age 82, of Newton Falls entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 11, 2016 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. Eugene was born on September 28, 1933 in Wirt Co., WV, the son of the late Holly & Ottis (Saltkeld) Greathouse Eugene married the former Mary Elizabeth Maze on September 25, 1954. Eugene and Mary were blessed with 61 wonderful years of marriage. Eugene retired in 1996 as a tow motor operator at Denman Tire. He was a member of the Warren First Assembly Church of God. Eugene loved his family, church, gospel music and gardening. Loving memories of Eugene will be carried on by his wife, Mary Greathouse, his children, Patty (Eddy) Howard, Cindy (Chuck) Jarvis, Eugene (Diane) Greathouse Jr., Judy (Rod) Byers, Elizabeth Schwab, siblings, Holly (Waneda) Greathouse, Gwen (Harold) Gibson, Garry (Carol) Greathouse, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughter, Lindsy Jarvis, sisters, Garnet, Bessie and brothers, Bud, Carl and Larry. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Warren First Assembly Church of God, 2640 Parkman Rd. NW, Warren, OH 44485. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 pm at the church. Eugene will be laid to rest at Newton Falls Cemetery.
