Eva V. Tancos, age 97, of Newton Falls passed away into eternal life on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at Laurie Ann Nursing Home. She was born on April 18, 1915 in Elkorn, WV the daughter of the late John Andriko and Julia (Yavelak) Andriko. Eva married Stephen Tancos on May 17, 1947 and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage until he passed away on December 23, 2003. She has lived in Newton Falls since 1926. She also is a member of the Newton Falls First Congregational Church for many years. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, and ceramics. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Steven, 1 daughter Rebecca Lynn Tancos, 5 brothers, 4 sisters, and her first husband John Maimone (KIA US Army). Memories of Eva will be carried on by her loving family of: 1 sister: Susan Jones of Cortland, OH, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at the Newton Falls First Congregational Church on Tuesday January 29, 2013 at 12:00pm with calling hours one hour prior to service time from 11:00am -12:00pm. The Rev. Dr. Eric Bing will be officiating the service. Eva will be laid to rest beside her husband Stephen at Newton Falls Cemetery.
