Evelyn (Lewis) Kehres, age 93 of Ravenna , passed away peacefully into eternal life on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Bonnie's Home Healthcare of natural causes, with her loving family by her side. She was born on February 19, 1923 in Deerfield, OH, the daughter of the late Harold & Isabell (Wilson) Lewis. Evelyn married, the love of her life, Clarence (Bill) W. Kehres Sr. on February 1, 1942 and they enjoyed 66 years of marriage together before he passed away on March 6, 2008. She lived in Diamond, OH since 1953 formerly of Palmyra, OH. She was a food service director for Southeast Local Schools for 27 years before retiring in 1985. Evelyn and her late husband were also the owner-operator of a Beef Farm. Evelyn was a member of the Portage County Farm Bureau. She was also a member of the Deerfield Evangelical Friends Church where her and her husband did custodial work for 11 years. She enjoyed baking, being a Sunday School teacher and being a food director for the church. She especially loved growing roses in her flower garden. Evelyn is preceeded in death by her parents,her husband, two brothers Harold Jr. & Benjamin Lewis, and sisters Elizabeth Demark, Margartet Evans, & Jane Alverson, Daughter in law Kathy Kehres. Memories of Evelyn will be carried on by her loving family; her daughters Mona Rae & (Richard) Hargett of Edinburg, Sandra Kay & (Howard) Wilson of Lodi; her sons Clarence W. & (Lisa) Kehres Jr. of Ravenna, Gregory L. Kehres of Diamond; her sisters Helen Kehres of Diamond, Leona Livezey of Mantua; her 11 grandchildren 16 great-grandchildren2 great great grandchildren. Calling hours we be Tuesday at the Deerfield Evangelical Friends Church in Deerfield Ohio,from 6:00 to 8:00 PM where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday June 8, 2016 at 11:00 AM Evelyn will be laid to rest next to her husband at Palmyra West Cemetery.
