Fay A. Pelo, age 84 of Patriot, OH entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, OH. Fay was born on April 22, 1933 in Warren the daughter of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Brobst) Adams. Fay, formerly of Lordstown, has lived with her daughter in Patriot for the past 2 years.

Fay married Steve Pelo on January 14, 1953. Fay and Steve were married for 63 years before his passing on June 3, 2016. Fay was a police dispatcher for the Lordstown Police Department for 18 years. She attended Lordstown Lutheran Church and was active on the Board of Directors at Cavalier Credit Union for many years. Fay was caring and considerate of others. She was a 25+ gallon blood donor for the American Red Cross. As a member of Project Linus, Fay crocheted over 500 afghans for babies and children in the local hospitals.

Loving memories of Fay will be carried on by her daughters; Gail (Raymond) DeGarmo of Patriot, OH, Nina Pelo of Newton Falls, Myra (Robin) Scott of Girard, Lisa Pelo of Clayton, IN, Iva Johnson of Indianapolis, IN, sons; Andrew (Anita) Pelo of Mentone, IN, Mark (Kathy) Pelo of Seven Fields, PA, her sister JoAnn Adams Smith of Patriot, brother Wayne (Wilma) Adams of Lordstown, 19 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Fay was preceded in death by her husband.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm. Fay will be laid to rest next to her husband Steve at Lordstown Cemetery.
